Note: These instructions apply exclusively to DEON OnPrem, not to DEON.CLOUD
If you don't switch the server frequently, it's best to choose one of the following two options:
- Option A: Log out by clicking your name in the top left corner of the DEON start screen and selecting "Log out" from the dropdown menu. The login screen will appear.
Click the server name at the bottom of the login screen to change it.
NOTE: If "Log out" does not appear, please select another option as described below. - Option B: Open the settings (click the gear icon in the top left corner) and navigate to "Connectivity"/"Server name". Then click the "Change" button to edit the server.
If you frequently switch between multiple servers, the most convenient way is to create additional DEON shortcuts that start DEON directly connected to a specific server. You naturally need a valid account (username/password) for each server.
Please note that DEON starts in single-instance mode in this case. This means that when you open a project, the start screen with your project list disappears and only reappears when you close the project or when you open a new instance by double-clicking the DEON shortcut again.
We recommend using direct server shortcuts for servers that you use from time to time, and using the above option for the server that you use most of the time. The start screen for this server is then always available.
- Duplicate (e.g. by copying/pasting) your existing shortcut that you currently use to start DEON.
- Right-click on the new shortcut and edit the 'Target' field. Append the line with
-serverfollowed by the server name (e.g.cloud.deon.eu). - Your new destination might look like this:

- Start DEON by double-clicking this new shortcut and log in with the appropriate credentials.
