Note: These instructions apply exclusively to DEON OnPrem, not to DEON.CLOUD
If you don't switch the server frequently, it's best to choose one of the following two options:
- Option A: Log out by clicking on your name in the upper left corner of the DEON start screen and in the dropdown-Menü „Abmelden“ wählen. The login screen appears.
Click below on the login screen on the server name to ändern.
NOTE: If „Abmelden“ does not appear, wählen please another option as described below. - Option B: Open the settings (click the gear icon in the top left corner) and navigate to "Connectivity"/"Server name". Then click the "Change" button to edit the server.
If you want to switch frequently between multiple servers, is the most convenient way to create additional DEON shortcuts that start DEON directly with the connection to a specific server. You obviously need a valid account (username/password) for each server.
Please note that DEON starts in single-instance mode in this case. This means that when you open a project, the start screen with your project list disappears and only reappears when you close the project or when you open a new instance by double-clicking the DEON shortcut again.
We recommend using direct server shortcuts for servers you use occasionally, and using the above option for the server you use most of the time. The start screen for this server is then always available.
- Duplicate (e.g. by copying/pasting) your existing shortcut that you currently use to start DEON.
- Right-click on the new shortcut and edit the field „Target“. Append the line with
-serverfollowed by the server name (e.g.,cloud.deon.eu). - Your new destination might look like this:

- Start DEON by double-clicking this new shortcut and log in with the appropriate credentials.
